Dr. Bradley W. Dyrstad is a dual board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. Dr. Dyrstad graduated summa cum laude from Augustana College, where he obtained a bachelor of arts degree in biology as a pre-med student.
After receiving his medical degree from Southern Illinois University, Dr. Dyrstad remained at SIU to complete his orthopedic residency. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he provided care for the Cincinnati Reds and Wilmington College athletes.
Dr. Dyrstad’s areas of focus include tendon and ligament injuries of the knee, ankle, elbow, and shoulder. These injuries include tears of the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial and lateral collateral ligaments about the knee. Shoulder injuries include rotator cuff tear, labral tears (from dislocated shoulder), and biceps tendon irritation and tears.
Dr. Dyrstad also performs acute fracture care and manages osteoarthritis of the knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow including replacement or fusion of these joints, as appropriate. He also performs arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle.
Dr. Dyrstad is NAVIO certified for computer-assisted partial knee replacement, and has surgical privileges at Odessa Regional Medical Center and Medical Center Hospital.
